Search Fields

• A keyword or “words anywhere” search field will generate results with the term anywhere in the item's record.
• Title, Author, ISBN, ISSN search fields limit your search to terms that correspond with an item's "outer layer" (cover or title page, or title screen).
• A subject search will generate results that are indexed with the term; it will return fewer, but more specific results.
  

Boolean Opperators

• AND puts two terms together and generates fewer, but more specific results.
• OR adds “like” concepts together to generate mORe results; good for searching with synonyms.
• NOT removes unwanted terms from your search, leading to fewer results.
